Image Transfer Workshop

Today we where experimenting with image transfer, this is a digital transfer method that involved printing onto a wax paper so that no ink sank into the paper and settled, this was then carefully placed face down onto hard fine art paper where we smoothed out the wax paper to transfer the ink.

It was quite a simple and interesting process, and it could lend some texture to an image that could potentially really make it stand out, and it removes the image slightly from the boundaries of what we assume as photographic art, as it also lends a level artisan to it, much like woodblock or plate printing.
I would not use this for my current project, however it is an interesting method, that could lend much more to the field of potentially portraits.
